All About Me

Hi, I’m Kat!

I’m a woodworker, artist and birth worker originally from the South Shore of Nova Scotia. I’ve worked in many arenas in my life including everything from driving a garbage truck to years touring as a circus performer. Some of the most rewarding work I’ve done has been helping women and their families through their childbearing times. I have experience and training both as a support person (doula) and a clinician (midwife) and truly believe it’s an honour to be invited to join people through pregnancy and birth which can be such powerful, vulnerable, and transformative times. I look forward to hearing your story, getting to know you, and being a part of this next important chapter.

"Even though I felt discouraged at times, your encouragement and belief that "I can do it" kept me going. Thank you!"
